"A collage challenge was created that asked followers of the Canadian Collage Collective to create a collage in any style they chose, except randomly chosen stickers had to be highlighted within the works.
A series of collages with sparkling unicorns, mermaids, sloths and colorful tree frogs, flowers and random bits appeared out of the studios of 16 artists.
The challenge, aptly named 'Get Stuck In', plays on the saying from the UK, where it means to start doing something enthusiastically, and the potential for artists to 'get stuck in' the process of incorporating a foreign element they may never have chosen for themselves."

“The theme of the show is derived from the Thomas Tusser book, 100 Points of Husbandry written in 1557, in which the verse ‘ Sweet April showers Do spring May flowers. ’ can be found. ... there has been a trend, here in Nova Scotia at least, for folks to develop a home garden, keep chickens and/or small livestock and attempt at some level to provide for themselves.
Artists are asked to consider these meanings in the creation of original collage work that provides commentary on the role of humans in being stewards of the resources available to us, and nurturing caretakers of the lands upon which we live. How can we be better in these roles? How have we failed? What does the future hold? Additionally, every collage submitted should incorporate ‘a flower’. Dried flowers, cutouts of florals, seed packets.”

“This exhibition features artists from both Canada and the US which came from a call for artists we posted 6months ago. We do this on occasion so we could bring some new artists to our gallery and to share the perspective of these artists in our City.
And even though we live in an age of advanced technology and AI, all the artists featured in this exhibitioncut paper and use glue to make their artwork.
Collage is often thought of as a modern artistic technique. The word collage – from the French verb coller, meaning “to stick” – was first used to describe the Cubist innovations of Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, who began to stick newspaper cuttings and other materials onto their canvases in 1912.
A Collage Exhibition Featuring Zanahoy, John Catron, Sarah Grant Duff, Torea Frey, Jack Procter, Evie Osborn, Seema Shah, Chris Short, and Geoff Wonnacott."

“Diamonds are the gemstone assigned to the 10th anniversary, as they symbolize longevity, invincibility, and love - so artworks that fit those themes, and Dartmouth, may be given preference but all types of work are welcome.”

"Repurposed Perspectives including artists Andrea Crouse, Kevin MacLean, zanahoy and more.
The show will be works from a collection of artists using repurposed materials. During Covid-19 many of us were impacted by the availability of products and services and stalled supply chains. Suddenly the grand parent or elder we knew that collected and saved the smallest of things which we may have thought to not be useful, suddenly started to make sense. This group of artists save every scrap, every piece and make something new and beautiful from it. "
